Abstract
Duplex steels tend to change properties in the zone of thermal influence when exposed to the welding thermal cycle. This study presents the investigation results of the mechanical properties, corrosion-resistance, phase composition and hardness of the base metal, the heat affected zone and the weld metal of super duplex stainless steel SAF 2507 pipes joints ø 89×15,0 maded by Manual TIG Welding with the using of forced interlayer cooling.

Materials and methods
The base metals used in this investigation is super duplex steel SAF 2507 Pipes. The pipes of the specified steel grade ø 89 mm×15,0 mm were welded by manual TIG welding using of 2,4 mm OK Tigrod 2509, similar to the base metal chemical composition, with the applying argon protective gas 99,993 %. Mechanical tests of welded joints were performed in accordance with GOST 6996 “Methods for determining mechanical properties”, pitting corrosion tests in accordance with
ASTM G 48 A. The properties of the samples were evaluated in accordance with STO Gazprom 2-3.7-050-2006.
