Currently, the industry widely introduced water treatment membrane processes, which is especially important for the operation of power equipment. This article summarizes the main challenges traditionally used for water purification technology and the benefits of rapidlydeveloping water treatment systems with the use of membrane separation technologies. Provides information on the work carried out by LLC "Gazprom development" (jointly with CJSC "RM Nanotech" — the project companyJSC "ROSNANO") concerning pilot testingof membrane technologies for water in the Southern branch of LLC "Gazprom energy", providing water supply facilities of the Astrakhan gas and chemical complex.
Results
Currently, a pilot plant installed at the production site water treatment plant of the South Branch of OOO "Gazprom energy" parallel to the existing flowsheet ion exchange water treatment. In July 2013 started the test. Preliminarypositive results — the selectivity of the process for salt content — not less than97,5%.
Сonclusions
Subsequently the results of the evaluation of JSC "RM Nanotech" membrane process water treatment, will make recommendations onits use on other sites OAO "Gazprom".
