In this work impact of heat effects and mechanical defects on functional capacity of thrust bearing of gas compressor unit were considered. For this were conducted the thermodynamic analysis of 8-segment thrust collar pivot taking account local mechanical defects.
Materials and methods
Thermodynamic analysis. Computer simulation.
Results
Impact of heat effects and mechanical defects on functional capacity of thrust bearing ofgas compressor unit were studied. Obtained theoretical results based on simulation’s calculations were compared with experimental data.
Сonclusions
1. The mechanical defects of thrust bearing should be taking account in forecasting different working parameters.
2. Mechanical deformations are dependent on the thrust pad damage. That isn’t be neglected especially during significant loads (for example, operation the gas compressor unit).
3. We recommended use of more resistant materials for thrust pads. So width of thrust pads isimportant parameter and it should be optimized.
