This paper considers the Vereyan “incised-valleys”. It also presents the results of geological modelling which has been applied to visualize the Vereiskian “incised valley” of the Tyugeevskoye field.
Materials and methods
IRAP RMS software.
Results
A structural model has been built.Because of the challenges in modelling “incised-valley” optimal x y grid dimensions was chosen. Appropriate gridding made it possible to build a 3D reservoir model.
Сonclusions
1. Vereyan “incised-valleys” can be associated with tectonically weak zones and can be traced both down and up the structural cross section of the field. 2. Vereyan “incised-valleys” have not yet been fully understood to date. Further study of Vereyan “incised-valleys”, including seismic survey and well drilling, is stronglyrecommended, because these can be potential oil exploration targets.
