Abstract
The article describes the problems associated with the study of the processes that occur in saturated iron-contained rock samples by a model of formation water based on a sodium chloride. The effect of pressure changes on sample structure stability and its composition are also discovered. The employees of “Rosneft” PJSC together with employees of the laboratory complex “Rosneft-STC” LLC (a subsidiary of “Rosneft” PJSC) conduct a comparative characteristic of open porosity data obtained by the method of saturation with water and gas is carried out. The practical applicability of this study is to take into account the dissolution factor of minerals containing iron upon saturation under pressure.

Materials and methods
