The article describes the Computed Radiography technology using the phosphorus plates. The review of digital radiography advantages is presented. The article highlights the physics of the X-rays interactions with the phosphorus plate material. Also methods of choosing the exposure time are discussed. Article demonstrates the application of Computed Radiography for the NDT purposes in welded joints of pipelines.
