Forecasting the sites of hydrocarbons localization in the gradient fields of tectonic stresses

Showing the results of modeling the stress-strain state of the blocks eterogeneous rock masses, disturbed by tectonic faults, for the prediction of localization of the commercial reserves of hydrocarbons in the contemporary tectonic stress fields. Methodological basis for the selection of the «piezofluid» anomalies are two software, which had been tested in retrospective prediction zones of hydrocarbons localization on the series of oil and gas deposits, ncluding
deposits in the area of «White Tiger». The possibility of predicting sites of hydrocarbons localization has been displayed, both at regional and local levels, depending on the task and detailed of geological and geophysical data.
Materials and methods
Geological maps of 1:200,000 scale, finite-element simulation of complex heterogeneous rock massifs.
Results
A method for predicting the localization of hydrocarbon deposits in the modern tectonic stress fields has been displayed. The methodology is based on the finite element modeling of the stress-strain state of rock masses. The method was tested on the White Tiger oil fields and etc.
