The experience presented in this article has been accumulated by Tatneft during the recent years while modernizing relay protection and automatic equipment of 110/35/6 (10) kV networks. The observability and controllability of the power supply system have increased due to the integration of relay protection terminals intothe DISC-110 system operated at Tatneft. Possibilities to the implementation of centralized selective protection from line-to-ground short-circuit and to organization of diagnostic monitoring of the electric equipment of 110/35/6 (10) kV substation opened up after the integration of relay protection terminals and the Zashita-3 hardware-software complex.
Materials and methods
Experienced maintenance and update of relay protection and automatic equipment of distribution networks of oil and gas extraction enterprises. Experimental studies of remote power supply control and management in the integration of relay protection and automatic equipment into the automated control system. Study of ways to improve the selectivity of line-to-earth fault protection and power equipment monitoring.
Results
Integration of relay protection terminals into the dispatch control system of distribution substations increases the reliability and continuity of electric power supply to consumers, lowers the operating costs by decreasing labor costs during shutdown causes and consequences resolution. The accuracy and stability of protection-presetvalues have also increased, and this allowed decreasing the selective interval delays down to 0.3 s, and in some cases even down to 0.25 s.
Сonclusions
The integration of BMRZ-type terminals along with the Zashita-3 hardware-software complex and centralized selective line-to-earth fault protection at 110/35/6 (10) kV Tatneft substations allowed us to increase the reliability and continuity of power supply to consumers and lower operating costs.
