Control of gas humidity is carried out by measuring the dewpoint temperature of thegas directly in the gas lines with submersible humidity sensors orby sampling systems. This procedure provides the ability to monitor single-phase gas environment and eliminates inaccuracies of volumetric flow rate of the gas mediumin the field. There is need for a reference framework for the control of the metrological characteristics of measuring humidity. Nowadays in Russian Federationis not fully ensured the completenessof verification schedule for measuring the humidity of gases.
Materials and methods
For the qualification of equipment as a reference is necessary carry out a study of its metrological characteristics and confirm the claimed characteristics, using a higher standard of accuracy in order to ensurethe transfer of units of gas humidity to the required accuracy.
Results
The introduction of new reference measurement tools can extend the abilityof the standard base of measuring moisture content of gases, providing traceability of the transfer of moisture from the units of measurement of these quantities to the national standard in greater reliability. Avoids the cost of their calibrationon foreign benchmark.

This study is important for gas production and gas processing plants.
